This blog is about nickel-free earrings. Many people are allergic to nickel (including me!), and when they buy nice, cheap earrings, they suffer from itchy ears, redness, and irritation after wearing them.

It is very annoying, because you just want to be able to wear nice earrings without your ears getting bothered afterwards! And if that does happen, you can't buy the affordable, nice earrings at Zeeman, Action, Hema, and other stores; you always have to buy silver or gold earrings! I noticed that there are very few stores that sell nice, nickel-free earrings for people who are allergic. I ran into this problem too.

At first, I wore a lot of gold earrings, but sometimes one gets lost, and that is a real shame. Then I started wearing a lot of silver, but silver earrings are actually way too expensive to buy myself.

And that is one of the reasons why I started ByLivia, among other things. So that everyone who is hypersensitive to nickel can also get nice, affordable earrings. All my hooks are made of 925 sterling silver and, very importantly: even the backs are nickel-free!
